Eles querem realmente ouvir as pedras falando. Elas guardam as ametistas.

I think that art is everything. Everything that we can imagine that can be art is art. For example, I can have a leaf. For the other people, it can just be a leaf but, for me, in my context, it can be much more. It can be art because it can bear a history, it can tell an entire context. For the other people, if they don’t look… – you don’t have to see it like I do! – but, if they pay attention to the story the artist wants to convey, everything can be art! My name is Larissa Novaes Saraiva, I am an exhibition attendant, I work on the third floor, as a patroller and, generally, I take care of all the artworks, specifically the one by Denise Milan, the artwork with the stones. I tell the people not to touch the artworks, not to run on the floor, not to drink water, not to take photos of the artworks with a flash. I take care of the artworks. Many people are thrilled. There was a day I was working, I and my coworkers, and a group of people came who asked if they could touch the artwork. The biggest ones, the black ones, can be touched. One lady hugged the stone, she hugged it for a while, and began to cry. It was something we didn’t expect. She cried, she said that she was filled with emotion, that she could actually hear the stones. It was very interesting. The stones, the crystals, are very beautiful. Mainly the children get very fascinated, because it’s the first time that they are getting visual contact with the work. It’s very funny. They arrive and, from a distance, they are already fascinated, their eyes get wide, they put their hands to their mouth, they want to sit, they want to touch. They really do want to hear the stones talking. For them, it is as though an animation was about to start, the voice of the stone. They want to hear the voice of the stone. It’s very funny. They are very fascinated by the beauty, as well as the shape of the stone… it’s very interesting. How do I see it? There are the larger stones, called geodes, and, on the outside, they do not have an aesthetic beauty. They have it on the inside. They contain the amethysts. It makes you think how people judge a lot by what is on the outside, rather than what is on the inside. Really, on the inside, it is very beautiful, and bears a much larger story. It makes you think about how all of those stones are under our feet.
