Thomas Dupal • The word for snake (but better)


Solo performance by artist Thomas Dupal, as part of the programme for the exhibition The infinite history of things or the end of the tragedy of one. In this contemporary “chanson de geste”, Thomas Dupal combines spoken word and choreographic movement to create an embodied form of storytelling, generating multiple, constantly shifting mythological narratives which echo and expand upon the formal and metaphysical threads present in Sofia Borges’ exhibition, giving a living form to Franz Boas’ quote: "It would appear mythological worlds have been built up only to be shattered again, and new worlds have been built from the fragments".
